Check the Japan Meteorological Agency’s official forecasts, warnings and advisories and early warning information, the Ministry of the Environment’s heatstroke alerts, and local-government instructions before acting.

Weather desk context: Tuesday brings scattered showers or thunderstorms from Hokkaido through Tohoku, Hokuriku and parts of Kanto and Kansai. Representative highs include Sapporo 26°C, Sendai 25°C, Tokyo 30°C, Niigata 27°C, Kanazawa 29°C, Nagoya 32°C, Osaka 35°C, Hiroshima 37°C, Fukuoka 36°C and Naha 34°C. Wednesday remains unsettled in northern and eastern areas while Nagoya, Hiroshima and Fukuoka reach about 35°C. Thursday keeps rain or thunder risks in Sapporo, Sendai, Tokyo, Niigata and Kanazawa, while Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka may reach 36°C and Hiroshima about 37°C. Forecast confidence decreases with time, and representative-city figures do not describe an entire prefecture. These values are not official warnings and do not predict where heatstroke alerts will be issued. Use cooling overnight as well as during the day, and never inspect swollen rivers, cliffs, underpasses, coasts or boats during hazardous weather.
