点と点を結ぶ知性が働きます。身近な一品について、作り手、中継した人や場所、現在地の三点を書いてください。記録にあること、推測できること、まだ空白のことを分ければ、短い来歴が信頼できる物語になります。

A celebrated name draws attention, but direct a few words toward one carver, printer, editor, conservator or colleague who supported that light. Achievement does not shrink when credit is shared. Accurate attribution makes your own stage larger, too.

作者、年、取得経路を確認する / Verify maker, date and acquisition route

細部を確かめる力が、今日の信頼を守ります。共有する作品や資料の作者、制作年、取得経路をラベルと記録で照合してください。線が途切れる場所は空欄のままに。作られた由来より、正直な「不明」の方がはるかに有用です。

Your power of verification protects trust today. Compare labels and records for a work’s maker, date and route of acquisition. Where the chain breaks, leave the field open. An honest “unknown” is far more useful than an invented history.

保存への感謝と来歴への問いを両立する / Hold gratitude for care and questions about provenance

感謝か批判か、二択に急ぐ必要はありません。長く守られた事実を一つ、移動の経緯について確認したい点を一つ、二列表に書いてください。両方を同じ紙に置くことで、公平さが曖昧さではなく強さになります。

You need not rush into a choice between gratitude and criticism. In two columns, write one fact about long preservation and one question about the work’s journey. Holding both on the same page turns fairness into strength rather than vagueness.

裏面と欠けた記録を確認する / Examine the reverse and the missing record

見えない面への集中力が高まります。物事の裏側、消えた日付、途切れた連絡を確認し、最も具体的な質問を一つだけ選んでください。記録の欠如は探究の始まりであり、告発の証拠ではありません。深く、しかし公正に進みます。

Your concentration on hidden surfaces intensifies. Examine the reverse, a missing date or a broken chain of messages, then choose one precise question. An absence in the record begins an inquiry; it does not prove an accusation. Go deep, but remain fair.

三作品だけを深く見る / Study only three works deeply

広い展示を制覇したくなりますが、今日は版画、絵画、工芸から一つずつ選び、三作品だけに時間を使ってください。素材と海を越えた経路を一行ずつ記せば、鑑賞はチェックリストではなく、持ち帰れる旅になります。

Today’s administration becomes tomorrow’s provenance. Give an important file or work a date, version, author and storage location, then save it under a meaningful name. One unobtrusive line can become the signpost that keeps someone from getting lost a century from now.

複製、模写、偽作を同じものにしない感性が必要です。失われた原作の姿を写しが伝える例を一つ探し、何を忠実に残し、何が変わったかを記してください。正しく表示された写しは、記憶を未来へ運ぶ器になります。

Your sensitivity is needed to distinguish reproduction, faithful copy and forgery. Find one case in which a copy preserves the appearance of a lost original, then note what remained faithful and what changed. Properly labeled, a copy can carry memory into the future.
